Okay.... just like we discussed in class on Thursday I want you to...
- Purchase a PhotoShop Book for Half Price that you can use it class (Try and make it a CS4 Book... that will be the most helpful to you while you are working at school (this should run you around $20).
- Look into purchasing an External Hard Drive or a large USB Flash Drive (if you get a Hard Drive look into one that does not require you to have an external power source and runs off of USB). Hard Drives are a little more expensive (around $60, but 16 GB Flash Drive will run around $40 so it is up to you).
- Take some photographs of either landscape, architecture or both and an object or two that you would like to place into the photo after you enlarge it (take a bunch of photos just in case some of them end up being blurry or you don't like the way they look).
- Find an artist online who works in Scale (ie - either an artist who tends to make things look really big or really small... they can work in any medium - painting, drawing, digital, photography, etc)
Let me know if you have any questions!
See you on Tuesday

I hope you enjoy his work. I find it very interesting. The Modern Art museum in Fort Worth has one on his pieces in their permanent collection.

ReplyDeleteI like the playfulness of Tom Otterness. He's even made bronze playgrounds and frogs and my fave may be outside the Beverly Hills civic offices, entitled, "Big Big Penny", it is-you guessed it!

ReplyDeleteBen Heine is a digital artist and painter. He works mainly on portraits, but has also created photo-manipulations including animals, turning small creatures into giants.
i found this artist named Tony Tasset. This site shows some of his work.

His art seems so interesting. I like how its so random and so diffrent from the next art piece. I mostly like the eye ball sculpture that is in Chicago.
