Home Work for Tuesday, January 25th

Hello Guys!

Okay.... just like we discussed in class on Thursday I want you to...
  • Purchase a PhotoShop Book for Half Price that you can use it class (Try and make it a CS4 Book... that will be the most helpful to you while you are working at school (this should run you around $20).
*Cathy did say she had some books that she will bring up here that we can look at in class, but I would still have one of your own just in case.
  • Look into purchasing an External Hard Drive or a large USB Flash Drive (if you get a Hard Drive look into one that does not require you to have an external power source and runs off of USB). Hard Drives are a little more expensive (around $60, but 16 GB Flash Drive will run around $40 so it is up to you).
  • Take some photographs of either landscape, architecture or both and an object or two that you would like to place into the photo after you enlarge it (take a bunch of photos just in case some of them end up being blurry or you don't like the way they look).
  • Find an artist online who works in Scale (ie - either an artist who tends to make things look really big or really small... they can work in any medium - painting, drawing, digital, photography, etc)
Let me know if you have any questions!

See you on Tuesday

YouTube Tutorials...

Not all YouTube Tutorials are well written and easy to follow, but I have found a Channel that is clear and well done.

I would like you to watch this video for PhotoShop CS4 for beginners as it introduces you to the tool bar...

Welcome to Digital Media!

Hello Everyone!

I have set up this blog to help us in our Digital Media Course over the semester and I am going to be posting assignments, websites and tutorials throughout the semester. I am going to ask you (my students) to also post to this site as part of your grade for the semester.

Check it often!

Sincerely,
